Leitupo, David and Jonah Harakeke New Zealand Tree

For Inquiry we are learning about New Zealand Native trees. But first Mrs. Tui split us into groups my group was Leitupo and David. My group decided to explore and learn more about the Harakeke flax/tree. We still learn about native trees is we use native plants because we use native trees for medicine such as Manuka and Kawakawa. Here is the drawing that my group did.

  1. Kia ora Jonah, I am Mr Moore from Owairaka District School. You have carefully selected some fantastic, colourful images that match your topic nicely. Are the stems good for cooking as well? What recipes could we make using harakeke fruits and seeds? Great use of Google Drawings here, well done!
